  General health after learning TTATT

  4 months ago i was conducting the watchtower study along with a long list of responsibilities that come with being an elder in a very goofy congregation.

  during this time my health was going down hill.

  i've always had a low blood pressure,(102/65 or abouts) but for the past year it had creeped up to 135/90 range.. so 2 months ago after learning ttatt, i'm still considered an elder because the brothers won't let me step down, but i haven't done anything in that time except comment once at a meeting a few weeks ago.

  I used to get debilitating migraines once every 6 weeks or so and a list of medications to combat them. Since divorcing my asshole ex husband and not once stepping into a KH for 7 years I haven't had one since and tossed all the prescriptions.

  I believe something about the Kelso Group was posted on the forum several weeks ago and a heated debate ensued about "official" law firms on the ARC "list".
  The page linked says this too, "This is not the official website for the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses into Child Sexual Abuse. The website is hosted by Peter Kelso, a private solicitor with special interest in victims of abuse."

  hello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.

  helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.

  i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

  jan used a famous scientist to garner misleading support for creation, quoting rama singh as saying "the opposition to evolution goes beyond religious fundamentalism and includes a great many people from educated sections of the population.

  Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?

  this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.

  the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.

  i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

  After debunking the Watchtower, moving on to debunking other "Christian" exegesis, and finally unravelling the grand fairy tale that is the Bible and every other Holy Book and the misogynistic, rapist, murderous gods they all extol, I am now happy worshipping myself. That's freedom.

  Inactive brother that on line games with fellow JWs

  just wanting to know if anyone knows of a similar case and what's the deal with it.

  i have an inactive jw acquaintance who hasn't been inside a kh for at least a couple of years.

  yet the weird thing is there is a net work of jws that he dose on line gaming with.

  1. If you are a JW playing video games on a casual or serious online basis, you are doing so on the "very down low" This is not information you want the congregation to be aware of, as it will generate much judgement and gossip. (i don't even need to elaborate)

  2. JW gamers have a separate code of ethics than the gossiping congregation. It is a covert fraternity. Disfellowshipped, disassociated and inactive are not outcast, in fact often times they are embraced.

  3. JW gamers are anonymous, and any accusations levied against them are to be met with, "deny, deny, deny"

  4. If you give up your covert position, you are by code of ethics not to give up anyone else.

  5. There are elders in their 40s that engage in the gaming community with all those mentioned above.

  6. The gaming community is not the only underground clique amongst active JWs.

  7. The gaming community where active JWs engage with former JWs is not huge. You are talking about 10-20 per circuit.

  8. Nearly every online gaming choice of active JWs would be derided by the organization and any given BOE. Thus the reason for the covert nature of the specific gaming groups.

  9. Over a 10 year period, I know personally at least a dozen active JW gamers who ultimately left the WT organization and find support with their online gamer community.

  The gamer in the opening post and his gamer friends will be fine. They know how to CYA.
